Shot on iPhone
“The Earth, filmed by children on iPhone”: Apple Türkiye’s 23 April Children’s Day campaign, where I mentored the young photographers behind the camera.
The project
Teaching children to see.
For 23 April, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, Apple Türkiye asked children to show the Earth through their own eyes, using nothing but an iPhone.
I worked with children aged 8 to 13 as a mentor. Before the shoots I taught them how to read light, frame a scene and interpret a landscape through the lens of a phone. After that, every photo and every frame of the film was created by the children themselves.
The final work was shown in Apple’s stores in Istanbul and shared across Apple’s platforms. In the workshops, children visiting the stores watched the film and picked up the iPhone to try it themselves, while I stayed in the background. The creativity belonged to them.
