The project

Speed, altitude and light in the Kaçkars.

Kaçkar by UTMB is part of the UTMB® World Series, sending runners across the alpine ridges, glacial lakes and high pastures of the Kaçkar Mountains above the Black Sea coast.

My aim was to show both scales of the race at once: the effort of a single runner and the vast landscape around them. Long-lens panning shots give the speed, wide frames give the mountains their size.
